Our Team
We are an Edinburgh-based collective who share a huge passion for wargaming and the 40k universe.
Rich Oliver
Tired of the hyper-competitive scene, I wanted to create a more relaxed environment for people to play 40k. I decided to float the idea with some like-minded friends, and Leithal Hits was born. I wanted to build a small community with regular events that people could attend. I also wanted to provide support to new and returning players to the hobby.
I'm a Guard player through and through, with an ever-growing collection of Companies which all come under the Banner of the 95th!

Noosphere Datascribe Ewen Cameron
Ewen played his first game of 40k in the mid-90s and he’s still not very good at it. His preferred playstyle involves dropping his whole army on the go-turn and deleting enough of his opponent’s army that they can’t play the game anymore. If this fails, he gets an early bedtime where he can go hang out with his giant orange cat.

I started my Warhammer 40K journey about nine years ago after finally jumping into the hobby I’d dreamed about since childhood. What began as a long-overdue passion quickly became something that shaped how I play, build, and think about the game today. Known behind closed doors as “Flip Flop” for my impulsive habit of bouncing between factions, I’ve explored more armies than I can count — but Chaos Space Marines have proven to be my one true love and constant return. My favourite parts of the hobby are min-maxing lists, kit-bashing unique models, and, most of all, throwing dice with friends and enjoying the game for what it’s meant to be: fun, creative, and shared.

As collector and hobby builder my pile of shame rarely diminishes. But I have managed to drag myself over the line to paint and run 7k points of Cutsodes and roughly the same of guard. 40K really helped me focus during some tough times and the mental distraction was massive for me. I’ve met some great people playing socially and competitively but just wish I could roll 4+ invulnerable saves!!!

An avid Lasgun, and tank-tread enjoyer I'm one of the many brave guardsmen that make up Leithal hits. Like many, I suffered a brief hobby break but have really enjoyed getting back into the hobby since 2022. I've been lucky enough to win 1st at a start-competing event and best painted at the 2025 Fife Warhammer Community Tournament.

Just a Necron Boy, living in an Imperial world. Took the midnight Ghost Ark going anywhere. I'm fairly new to the hobby, but always here to help others where I can. Just some advance warning, I will most likely be playing C'Tans wherever possible.

Resident Scion enjoyer, Ryan has been playing 40k since 2020. Every time he’s about to start a new army, GW drags him back into the trenches with a new Guard release. Expect to see him ripping around town in his new Hippogriph AFV any day now.

Playing Warhammer 40K since 2019, I quickly fell into the hobby harder than a dropped resin model. Based in Edinburgh, I spend my time building armies, rolling questionable dice, and crafting props that are often larger than my available storage space. When I’m not painting miniatures, large and small, I’m probably convincing myself I don’t need another army… and then buying one anyway. Prop builder by trade and hobbyist by obsession, bringing a mix of creativity, questionable tactical decisions, and an ever-growing pile of grey plastic to the team.

Cursed by Tzeentch to forever roll poorly, I forge ahead to continue enjoying this hobby. Here to Exterminate Xenos, purge the Heretic and make friends along the way. A loyal guard player at my core, I also enjoy the kind-hearted Salamanders and am often tempted by the warp with my Thousand Sons.

Just a chill guy who likes rolling dice and painting. Been collecting for over 20 years and playing competitively for the past 6 years. No matter what faction I'm playing, you bet I'll be playing the least amount of models on the field that I can get. When not being a nerd, I'm usually out out and enjoying being alive.

Ed Uniacke
A lover of all things spiky—preferably painted in a shade of magenta—he rediscovered the hobby after moving back to Scotland in 2022 and found it to be an excellent way to make new friends. Hobby time is equal parts meditation and creative outlet. On the tabletop, he leans firmly toward chaos; in real life, not so much. When he’s not throwing dice, he’s usually halfway up a mountain—or sprinting back down it.

Andrew is a lover of all things chaos, a devout player of the Iron Warriors legion (CSM) and most recently Chaos Demons, with a sprinkling of Loyalist Space Marines and Orks on occasion.
